Home Energy & Insulation Assessments
We take a thorough look at your entire home—insulation, air sealing, heating and cooling, and ventilation—to find where you're losing comfort and money. After the home energy audit, we provide you with a clear, honest plan for fixing what we find, and share any rebates or incentives you may qualify for.

What to Expect During Your Assessment
1. The Conversation: Before we test anything, we’ll sit down and talk about what’s prompting the visit, which rooms feel off, and what you’re hoping to get out of the home energy audit.
2. The Walkthrough: From there, your technician walks through the whole home—attic to basement—checking insulation, windows, doors, and how your heating and cooling system is holding up.
3. The Testing: We perform a health and safety check and use thermal imaging to find drafts, gaps, and leaks hiding behind your walls.
4. Your Plan: You’ll receive a straightforward, prioritized list covering what matters most, what can wait, and what it’ll cost. Always in plain English, never jargon.
5. The Rebates: Last, we'll go over which state and utility programs you likely qualify for, and roughly how much they could save you.
What We Need From You
- Have your most recent electric and natural gas utility bills on hand. We’ll use them alongside our on-site findings to build a complete picture of your home’s energy use.
- If you're pursuing a NYSERDA program rather than a standard Comfort Home assessment, we'll need to verify income eligibility on-site during your visit.
- If you rent your home, or you’re a landlord with tenants in the property, we’ll need to speak with the property owner and get their approval before we can schedule a visit.
Assessments are generally scheduled between 9 am and 2 pm, Monday through Friday. If your home's been feeling drafty, or your bills have been creeping up, this is where that gets fixed. Give us a call to get on the schedule.
